Dear All,

I would like to start by wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year as the club reaches a crucial time in this transition to the new club. This past year has been a year when friends have been more important than ever, and we have had to get used to limiting the amount of people that we meet, all in all getting used to living in bubbles was the very first thing we had to do come the start of 2021. The “East-End Bubble” is full of friends, and i want to say a big thank you to everyone who has worked so hard to prevent it from bursting during this unprecedented year.

In every area of the club we have aimed to come out of Covid-19 stronger than when we went in, and seriously that’s all down to the people who make East-End work – Board members, committee members, head coaches, coaches, administrators, welfare officers, young people, mums, dads, grannies and granddads you all are amazing and we thank you for the support. As we draw closer to the end of 2021, I reflect on what a fantastic year it has been for club. Our youth teams have already had very successful season so far and we have had great Cup and Tournament results throughout the summer but In particular our 2010 Academy team have a fantastic run in the cup which see us up against Portstewart Academy in the NIBFA cup to look forward to in February next year. We have so many teams to talk about and plan to create a history book in the new future to give information about all the teams. Although the club officials are under a serious amount of work ahead with this transition, it’s fantastic to see that we have had people come forward from the older version of the club to help out in any way they can. I am touched at the amount of support and efforts contributed by you all, it proves that the community spirit in Coleraine and surrounded areas is still very much alive. Our sport truly does bring people together. I look forward to seeing you all kicking 2022 off with a great start to the year.

Kindest Regards, On Behalf of the East-End Youth – Jordan Moffett
